I saw this really great post over on THE PIONEER WOMAN. I showed it to my 6 year old son and he immediately wanted to make them. Ours are not as pretty, but they are 100% child made, and as you know here on Play at Home Mom, it’s about the process, not the product. I think they turned out pretty fantastic.
Here is a picture journey into our fun morning of cooking. For recipe details (and they are super easy), please check out The Pioneer Woman.
Reading the recipe on my phone.
Butter, marshmallows, and rice krispies. Oh so (un) healthy!
We used M&Ms for the middle, because I could not find tiny eggs.
Admiring his work….and egg shaped rice krispy treat.
Ready for decorating.
Colored sprinkles….pretty!
This was his favorite part. He said his eggs needed to be rainbow colored, so he just rolled them in each color.
All done…..and they are really good!
